Can you put a sleeping bag in the washing machine?
Check your sleeping bag frequently to make sure it doesn’t get too hot as the heat settings of some devices cannot be trusted. Never dry clean your sleeping bag or wash it with normal detergent. If it’s been a long time since you last cleaned your sleeping bag, you may need to repeat the washing process above to remove all the dirt. Hand washing your sleeping bag is by far the most labor-intensive approach, but it can also be the most cost-effective.
During the drying cycle, throw a few tennis balls into the industrial dryer along with your sleeping bag to gently break up the clumped insulation and pick up the bag again.
